Tue 1 Sep 2026 - Opening Night
The club season starts on September 1st with welcomes, information, a preview of the forthcoming season and a selection of images to share. As always, the meeting will be at the village hall at East Ord and there will be people on site from around 7pm.
Please feel free to bring a handful of your images from the summer and we'll play them as a slideshow if time allows.
New members welcome.
Tue 8 Sep 2026 - Skills - Tabletop
We'll be setting up for some tabletop photography with reflections, mirrors glass and a variety of shiney stuff. Bring your camera.
Sat 12 Sep 2026 - Annual Exhibition - Save the Dates, 12th and 13th
The club's annual exhibition will again be held in St Aiden's Hall in Berwick. Doors will be open from 10am to 4pm on both Saturday 12th September and Sunday 13th September. Further information will follow through bulletins and updates over the summer, but we will again be looking for volunteers so please save the dates.
Tue 15 Sep 2026 - Annual Exhibition Review
We will review the images from the annual exhibition, using the digital submissions. There will be a chance to comment and discuss some of the images.
The 15th September is also the deadline for uploading submissions to the PDI competition. More guidance is available here.
Tue 22 Sep 2026 - Speaker - Colin MacPherson, Net fishing in Scotland
Colin MacPherson will be joining us to present his images on net fishing in Scotland. There are some examples here.
Tue 29 Sep 2026 - Skills - Close-Up Theory and Practice
We will be focusing on some of the theory and practice of close-up photography, including equipment and image stacking. There will be a selection of small objects on which to practice.
Tue 6 Oct 2026 - Judging - Annual PDI Competition Judging
The images and results of the annual PDI competition will be presented.

Tue 13 Oct 2026 - Speaker - Richard Egan, From iPhone to Hasselblad
Richard Egan will be presenting his photgraphy, from iPhone to medium format. Richard is a Fellow of the RPS and Ripon City Photographic Society member. More information here.
Sat 17 Oct 2026 - Saturday Shoot Competition - Eyemouth
After a couple of years in Berwick, the location for this year's competition will be Eyemouth. Details to follow closer to the date.
Note - this year we will use the club's software to collect images. All resized but unedited images must be uploaded by midnight on the same day.
Tue 20 Oct 2026 - Skills - Image Critique
We will focus on critiquing your own work and that of others. More details will be circulated closer to the date.
Tue 27 Oct 2026 - Night Shoot - Holy Island
For this season's night shoot we will head out to Holy Island for the annual night shoot. Further details to follow, but the tide times work.
Tue 3 Nov 2026 - Judging - Saturday Shoot Competition
We will be trialing an interactive judging format for the Saturday shoot competition.
Tue 10 Nov 2026 - Members' Night - Night Shoot Images
We will use the evening to review the images from the Night Shoot.

Ian will continue his dicussion of colour theory after last year's presentation. There will also be a panel Q&A on the subject of filters for photographic capture.

The judging for this year's monochrome competition will be done using the club's software, with some AI assisted critique (subject to numbers).
